The message of congratulations reads, in part:
“Over these last 25 years, our bilateral relations have traversed various periods. It is pleasing to see that the good traditions of friendship and mutual respect that bind our peoples have helped us to preserve our cooperation’s positive potential. This is reflected clearly in the more than 180 bilateral agreements in various areas that we have signed to date.
I am sure that the recent activation of our political dialogue will enable us to substantially develop our bilateral cooperation in all different areas and eventually reach a strategic partnership, the principles for which were cemented in the Friendship and Cooperation Agreement of 2001. This is fully in keeping with the interests of our countries’ fraternal peoples and will contribute to strengthening regional stability and security.”
