The President once again expressed his condolences to the King of Saudi Arabia following the September 11 tragedy at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, which claimed many lives.
The two leaders discussed issues pertaining to the settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, taking into account the many clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces at the al-Aqsa Mosque and Temple Mount sites.
The President of Russia and the King of Saudi Arabia expressed a mutual desire to promote further development in Russian-Saudi cooperation in priority areas and agreed to maintain regular bilateral contacts at various levels.
