Trip to Blagoveshchensk
Dmitry Medvedev attended the launch of a hydrometallurgical plant at the Pioneer deposit and of the Olekminsk mining and concentrating plant, which are parts of an ore mining and smelting cluster being established in the Amur Region. The President also visited pilot production facilities specialising in developing mineral ores enrichment and extraction technologies.
The Russian leader held a meeting on customs and migration policy in border regions, a working meeting with Governor of the Amur Region Oleg Kozhemyako, and discussed local self-government challenges with the heads of municipal administrations of the Amur Region.
