Taking part in the meeting were Head of Kalmykia Alexei Orlov, Astrakhan Region Governor Alexander Zhilkin, Deputy Transport Minister Nikolai Asaul, representatives of the Agriculture Ministry of the Russian Federation and of the regions within the Southern Federal District.
It was noted at the meeting that of the 16 items on the list of instructions where the deadlines had already passed, only nine have been implemented. The decision was made to extend the deadlines on the remaining seven items.
The working group discussed the results of the additional measures taken in line with the Presidential instructions by the federal and regional executive bodies to improve the mechanism for supporting agricultural producers, to organise the operation of transport in order to improve the accessibility of healthcare, cultural and social services facilities for rural residents, and to introduce public control over local self-government bodies.
