The Government of the Russian Federation jointly with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and the authorities of the Federal City of Sevastopol have been instructed to ensure regular functioning of reserve power sources to support the work of socially important facilities and vital infrastructure in the Crimean Federal District, giving special attention to the need to maintain a 20-day stock of petroleum products and provide the necessary low-voltage reserve power sources and fuel trucks.

The Energy Ministry together with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea have been instructed to commission the first section of the energy bridge between the Russian Federation and the Crimean Peninsula (deadline – December 20, 2015) and the second section of the energy bridge between Russia and Crimea (deadline – June 1, 2016).

The Energy Ministry has been instructed to ensure adequate staffing of the power companies in the Crimean Federal District, specifically to conduct emergency repairs, maintenance of reserve low-voltage power sources and the repair and maintenance of heat generating facilities.

The Ministry of Communications and Mass Media jointly with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and the authorities of the Federal City of Sevastopol have been instructed to take comprehensive measures to maintain the functioning of mobile and Internet communication on the territory of the Crimean Federal District, focusing on ensuring regular communications at socially significant facilities, executive bodies and vital infrastructure facilities in the Crimean Federal District.

Russia’s Interior Ministry together with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea and the authorities of the Federal City of Sevastopol have been instructed to take additional measures to ensure law and order on the territory of the Crimean Federal District in connection with the disruption of regular power supply to the peninsula.

Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak will coordinate the work to implement these instructions.
