The Federal Law is aimed at improving the legal status of international companies and international foundations created on the territory of the special administrative zones in the Kaliningrad Region and the Primorye Territory.
In part, the law provides for an opportunity to become an international company for a Russian economic entity established by a foreign commercial corporate organisation if the personal law of this organisation does not envisage or prohibits re-domiciliation on the territory of the Russian Federation and if its securities have been listed on the Russian stock exchange or a foreign stock exchange that meets certain criteria.
