Visit to Saratov Region

Vladimir Putin visited Saratov Region where he observed the operation of the new terminal at Gagarin International Airport.

The President inspected the check-in area plus the departure lounges and gates, and looked at a scale model of the airport.

Gagarin International Airport is located 20 km away from Saratov, near the village of Saburovka. It is the second large airport in Russia’s recent history to be built ‘from scratch’ (like Platov Airport in Rostov-on-Don).
