The First Lady of Russia told the Princess about the work of the Foundation for Socio-Cultural Initiatives, which she heads, and invited young classical musicians from Belgium to take part in the annual Rising Stars at the Kremlin festival, supported by the Foundation.
In addition, Svetlana Medvedeva and Princess Mathilde discussed the possibility of having the Foundation organise the Mobile Academy of Arts exhibition of works by young artists in Belgium.
The ladies also discussed issues pertaining to maternal and child health protection.
After the conversation, the First Lady and Princess Mathilde toured the halls of the Grand Kremlin Palace. Svetlana Medvedeva talked about the history of individual buildings and halls within the Moscow Kremlin.
Princess Mathilde is in Russia accompanying her husband, Crown Prince Philippe of Belgium, who is heading Belgian trade and economic delegation.
