Moscow International Performing Arts Centre. Svetlana Medvedeva visited the White Cane, Without Borders International Charitable Festival, held on White Cane Day. With singer and festival organiser Diana Gurtskaya and president of the Moscow International Performing Arts Centre Vladimir Spivakov.

The festival is being held for the second time and is organised by Diana Gurtskaya’s Charity Fund On Call of the Heart, which assists blind and visually impaired children. This year, Russian pop stars join these children who come from all over Russia and other CIS nations, to perform duets.

White Cane Day is celebrated every year on October 15. Its symbol — the white cane – is used by visually impaired people as a mobility tool. White Cane Day aims to draw attention to the problem of mobility for the visually impaired.
