A series of major events, including the First Lyudmila Zykina All-Russian Contest of Folk Singers, will be held over the course of the year as part of the festival devoted to 35th anniversary of the Lyudmila Zykina State Academic Russian Folk Ensemble Rossiya.
Lyudmila Zykina (1929–2009) is a prominent performer of Russian folk songs and romances, and founder and director of the Rossiya ensemble.
