Mr Sechin, who is in charge of the fuel and energy sector, said the Government proposes a number of measures to normalise the passenger transport situation, in particular, there is a proposal to introduce a system of direct long-term contracts between airlines and oil refineries for fuel supplies and a proposal to have fuelling stations in at airports move over to stocking aircraft fuel rather than selling it.
Mr Medvedev earlier discussed the air transport situation with Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov and the heads of the Prosecutor-General’s Office and Federal Anti-Monopoly Service.
The meeting also discussed regional generating companies’ fuel supplies and preparedness for the winter season.
