Vladimir Putin will make a working visit to Kazakhstan on May 28–29 to participate, together with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, in a Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting. The Council is the supreme body of the Customs Union and Common Economic Space between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
During the meeting priority attention will be paid to further developing integration cooperation and establishing the Eurasian Economic Union by January 1, 2015.
The presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will discuss the implementation of instructions on how the Customs Union and Common Economic Space are to function. They will assess on-going efforts to codify the international treaties that form the legal foundations of the above integration associations.
