The subjects discussed included the State Duma’s adoption of the three-year federal budget and the budgets for the Pension Fund, Social Insurance Fund and Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund.
Mr Medvedev said that the current financial problems create a number of new problems such as rising inflation, and instructed the Government to ensure that social benefits and payments are kept in line with the real inflation rate.
