In his speech Sergei Ivanov underscored how important issues on the Council’s agenda are, as well as the need to improve the models for Russia’s social and community development.
According to the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office, Russia’s development is possible only when founded on intergenerational equity, historical memory, and tradition. Preserving systems based on cooperation and mutual respect represent priority ways of increasing Russia’s prosperity, Mr Ivanov said.
The plenary session of the XVII World Russian People’s Council was held at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.
