The Russian and Chinese heads of state highly praised the positive role played by the regular meetings between the heads of government of Russia and China in developing their countries' bilateral relations. The document reads, in part, that the heads of state pledge to continue their efforts to improve this mechanism and further enhance its effectiveness.
Given the successful experience of carrying out the Action Plan to implement the provisions of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation between Russia and China, a new Action Plan for 2009–2012 will be elaborated.
Russia confirmed its readiness to continue to provide China with all necessary assistance and support as it copes with the consequences of the earthquake.
