President Vladimir Putin: Allow me to warmly welcome you to Moscow. It is pleasant to note that after officially receiving your post, your first state visit was to our country. I think that this reflects the spirit and degree of our partnership – a partnership we have always considered a strategic one – and the state of relations between allies. Since we cooperate on a wide range of issues, both in a bilateral context and within international organizations such as the Collective Security Treaty Organisation, this certainly is the case. We resolve problems in the struggle against terrorism together.
In addition, the economic plans we hope to implement are quite good. We know how difficult the last political proceedings in your country were. Unfortunately, today it is evident that their negative impact weakened Kyrgyzstan's economy. Along with this, I would like to note that as before, and with your participation, Russia is prepared to implement all plans and agreements that were previously concluded.
I hope that today and tomorrow, your visit to our country will act as a good impetus for our relations' development, especially since there are a number of very substantial questions that we would like to address, first of all in the sphere of economics.
Welcome.
