President Vladimir Putin: Dear Robert Sedrakovich [Kocharian], allow me to welcome you to Russia and say how pleased I am to see you.
I would like to note that there are no unresolved problems between us today, no complicated and sensitive issues under discussion and without a solution. There are no such problems between our countries today. We have resolved every issue. We have settled our energy sector issues and are now working actively on transport and other sectors, on industry, and our bilateral trade is growing. We are very pleased with these results and pleased to see how the direct contacts between our citizens are developing.
Of course, we always have matters for discussion. I am very pleased to see you here in Russia and I am sure that your visit today will contribute to the development of our bilateral relations and, as we say on such occasions, will give a positive boost to further developing our intergovernmental ties.
President of Armenia Robert Kocharian: Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, thank you very much for your warm welcome and for this chance to once again discuss the state of our bilateral relations.
I would like to start by saying that last year was particularly productive for our bilateral relations. We did indeed begin implementing very important economic projects. I also note that talks on a whole number of other areas and on carrying out investment projects in Armenia took place last year. I very much hope that this year will see the practical implementation of these projects. Development is very good in this respect and what is most interesting is that each new project opens up possibilities for yet further projects and generates new ideas and new opportunities for their implementation. I have some thoughts in this respect that I would like to share with you today.
Vladimir Putin: With pleasure.
