Russia sees Brazil as one of its key partners in Latin America, Vladimir Putin said at the start of the meeting, noting that over the past three years their bilateral political dialogue had acquired an intensive and regular character.
The Russian President described as the key task further increase of trade which stood at $1.7 billion in 2002. It is also necessary to expand the range of trade and develop cooperation in hi-tech areas.
Vladimir Putin said Russia was ready to implement some joint projects in the space sphere.
