Regulating the Nagorny Karabakh problem was one of the main subjects discussed during talks between President Vladimir Putin and Armenian President Robert Kocharian in St. Petersburg. The President noted that the authorities in Azerbaijan are positively resolved to help find a solution to the long-running and complicated dispute over Nagorny Karabakh.
Mr Putin and Mr Kocharian also discussed the situation in Georgia. Russia is prepared to work with whomever the Georgian people elect to lead them. Responsibility for the political processes underway in Georgia lies with the political forces at their head. Russia hopes that the law in Georgia will be observed in order to give these processes legitimacy.
