During his one-and-a-half-hour talk with students, Vladimir Putin answered 32 questions. They concerned the strengthening of the rouble, support for small and medium-sized businesses, military reform, health care, education, scholarships and grants to young researchers.
Several questions related to international issues, in particular the war in Iraq and the role of the UN in settling the conflict. Prospects for processing foreign countries’ spent nuclear fuel and prevention of illegal timber exports were also discussed.
During his talk with students, the President expressed certainty that Russia had every chance to make a serious breakthrough in all spheres. We should not miss this chance, he said.
