Vladimir Putin congratulated Mikhail Fradkov on the approval of his appointment as Prime Minister at a meeting at Novo-Ogarevo, the presidential country residence.
Mr Fradkov informed Mr Putin about his conversation with State Duma deputies, adding with satisfaction that there are now wide opportunities for effective cooperation between federal legislative and executive bodies of authority in the area of lawmaking, creating a favourable investment climate and enhancing the competitiveness of Russia’s economy.
In general, Mikhail Fradkov described the meeting with deputies as useful, because it touched upon urgent issues and offered interesting suggestions.
