President Vladimir Putin appointed members of the Russian Government

The Government includes Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov, Chief of the Government Office Dmitry Kozak, Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeyev, Minister of Economic Development and Trade German Gref, Minister of Health and Social Development Mikhail Zurabov, Minister of Defence Sergei Ivanov, Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov, Minister of Transport Igor Levitin, Minister of Internal Affairs Rashid Nurgaliyev, Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Leonid Reiman, Minister of Culture and Mass Communications Alexander Sokolov, Minister of Natural Resources Yury Trutnev, Minister of Education and Science Alexei Fursenko, Minister of Industry and Energy Viktor Khristenko, Justice Minister Yury Chaika, and Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Sergei Shoigu.

As part of reorganisation, the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications was created with Leonid Reiman as its head. Igor Levitin has remained the Minister of Transport.
