The Presidents of Russia and Uzbekistan discussed issues of cooperation in the framework of the Central Asian Cooperation Organisation (CAC).
The organisation is made up of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. In May 2004 at the CAC summit, Russia’s application to join the organisation was approved.
The next CAC summit opens in 18 October 2004.
