The readiness to assist further bilateral economic cooperation and to remove obstacles to business initiatives are clearly reflected in the joint political declaration passed during the visit, Vladimir Putin announced at a meeting with representatives of Indian business circles.
An important stimulus for widening economic partnership is developing the infrastructure of Russian-Indian scientific and technical cooperation.
It is necessary to be bolder in setting tasks for realising projects in basis electronics, information and telecommunications technology and pharmaceutics. There are also major prospects for Russian and Indian cooperation in space, energy industry and machine building.
This approach lays the foundations for diversification of Russian and Indian export, and to bring new high-technology goods to the international market.
