This press conference was the longest of all those that have taken place over the past years with the President answering more than 50 questions in three hours.
In reality the number of questions came to more than 100 because many journalists tried to include two or three different topics in their question.
The overwhelming majority of questions were about Russian domestic politics and only 15 questions dealt with international issues. Journalists raised the question of Russia’s relations with Georgia and Abkhazia three times and with the United States and Armenia twice.
The press conference was broadcast live on Channel One and Rossia television channels, radio station Mayak and also on the official presidential website in Russian and with a simultaneous translation in English.
