Russia intends to strengthen good-neighbourly relations with Arab countries, the Russian President stressed at a meeting at LAS headquarters.
Vladimir Putin gave a high assessment to the League of Arab Nations in regulation in the Middle East.
The Russian President called for the League of Arab Nations to support the Syrian President, on whose decision troops are being withdrawn from Lebanon.
Mr Putin said it was necessary to increase the role of international diplomatic mechanisms in Iraqi regulation.
Also present at the meeting were Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, his deputy Aleksandr Saltanov and the Russian ambassador in Egypt, Mikhail Bogdanov.
