Speaking at a meeting of the Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation with Foreign States, President Vladimir Putin stressed the issue of ensuring technical servicing of Soviet and Russian-made arms being used by foreign countries’ armed forces.
Military-technical cooperation is always based on Russia’s commitments with regard to helping other countries ensure their defence capability, and always takes into account the balance of force and interests that has taken shape in the different parts of the world, Mr Putin said.
The President stressed he considers military-technical cooperation an important and sensitive component of Russia’s foreign policy activity.
