The two leaders took part in a ceremony unveiling a memorial plaque commemorating the university’s being given the name of Immanuel Kant. Before the ceremony began, Mr Putin and Mr Schroeder visited the university library and met with German professors who used to work at the university.
Mr Putin and Mr Schroeder also laid flowers at Immanuel Kant’s grave and visited the Kaliningrad Cathedral.
