The Federal Constitutional Law “On the Formation within the Russian Federation of a new Region of the Russian Federation as a Result of the Merger of Krasnoyarsk Region, Taimyr (Dolgan-Nenets) Autonomous District and Evenkia Autonomous District” sets out and defines the main conditions, procedures and deadline for the formation of the new region, its name, status and borders, the date at which Krasnoyarsk Region, Taimyr (Dolgan-Nenets) Autonomous District and Evenkia Autonomous District will cease to exist as separate regions, and also the principles for the functioning of the executive, legislative and judicial branches of power in the new region.
The new region will be formed in 2007.
