The federal law on the Agreement on Cooperating to Protect the External Borders of the Member States of the Eurasian Economic Community signed by the heads of state of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan on 21 February 2003 in Moscow is put forward for ratification.
Ratifying the Agreement will allow the countries to develop the fundamentals of a normative legal base with respect to protecting the external borders of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Community and to strengthening cooperation between the border services of these states.
Implementing the Agreement will not require additional financial means from the federal budget.
