At a meeting with Muslim spiritual leaders the President sent greetings to all Russian Muslims as they celebrate the holiday Kurban Bairam (Eid al-Adha) and wished them happiness and prosperity.
Vladimir Putin pointed out that Islam, like all peaceful religions, is based on kindness, and faith in kindness and justice is the best way to strengthen the country.
Earlier on, in his message to Russian Muslims, the President had expressed his conviction that Russian Muslims will continue to help the interconfessional dialogue develop and strengthen cooperation and good-neighbour relations between people.
