In Vladimir Putin's opinion, the talks that took place with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev provided additional proof that allied relations designed for the very closest cooperation exist between the two countries.
The priority directions of Russian-Kazakhstan cooperation and joint projects in the fuel and energy sectors, outer space, investment, military and technical cooperation, and other fields were discussed during the talks.
The President of Russia said that reaching an agreement on the creation of the Eurasian Development Bank was an important event. Its headquarters will be in Almaty and it will also have a branch in Saint Petersburg.
Vladimir Putin also noted the importance of ratifying the agreement on the Russian-Kazakhstan state border.
