President Vladimir Putin and President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiev adopted a Joint Declaration following their talks.
Russia and Kyrgyzstan will work consistently to expand, enrich and increase the effectiveness of their bilateral cooperation, President Vladimir Putin and President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiev stated in a joint declaration adopted following talks in the Kremlin.
Mr Putin particularly noted the positive development of economic ties. Bilateral trade increased by 27 percent in 2005 and reached a total of $543 million. Russia and Kyrgyzstan stated their intention to work actively on carrying out joint projects in the machine-building, energy sectors and in light industry and the foodstuffs sector.
