President Vladimir Putin signed a decree declaring May 5, 2006, a day of mourning for the victims of the plane crash.
A total of 113 people died in the crash of an Armavia passenger airliner in the Black Sea.
In a telephone conversation with President of Armenia Robert Kocharian on May 3, 2006, Mr Putin expressed his profound and sincere condolences to the families of the Russian and Armenian citizens who died in the crash.
