Speaking in Uralsk at the forum of the border regions of Russia and Kazakhstan, Vladimir Putin noted that interregional and cross-border cooperation is an important element of the whole range of Russia-Kazakhstan relations.
According to experts, around 70 percent of the volume of trade between Russia and Kazakhstan takes place between the two countries’ neighbouring regions and has good prospects for further development.
The agreement signed during the forum on the procedures for crossing Russia-Kazakhstan border by residents of the border regions opens new prospects for developing economic cooperation and will facilitate contacts between the citizens of Russia and Kazakhstan.
