President Vladimir Putin presented state decorations to scientific, cultural and arts figures and to military servicemen

At a ceremony awarding state decorations. Lieutenant-Colonel Vladimir Belyavsky is decorated with the Hero of Russia medal for courage and heroism while performing his military duties.
At a ceremony awarding state decorations. Nina Brusnikova is decorated with the Hero of Russia medal for heroism and self-sacrifice shown while saving a livestock complex from fire, and for outstanding achievements in her work.
At a ceremony awarding state decorations. Ruben Yesayan receives the Hero of Russia medal for courage, heroism and great professionalism shown while testing aviation equipment.
At a ceremony awarding state decorations. Alexander Pavlov is decorated with the Hero of Russia medal for courage, heroism and great professionalism shown while testing aviation equipment.
At a ceremony awarding state decorations. Olga Lepeshinskaya receives the Order for Services to the Fatherland II degree for her outstanding contribution to developing the choreographic arts in Russia and for her many fruitful years of work.
At a ceremony awarding state decorations. Marlen Khutsiyev is decorated with the Order for Services to the Fatherland II degree for his outstanding contribution to developing cinematography in Russia and for his many fruitful years of work.

The President presented state decorations to 56 outstanding Russian citizens in a ceremony at the Kremlin.

Mr Putin noted that honest work, selfless service to one’s country, talent, creativity and authentic vision and spirit have always been valued at all times and in all professions. These qualities have become part of Russia’s national traditions and are being continued by the people honoured at the Kremlin today, Mr Putin said.
