With the Russian Human Rights Ombudsman Vladimir Lukin.
Vladimir Lukin told the President about how work on the annual report on human rights in Russia is proceeding. He noted that in 2006 half of the complaints concerned social problems and that 20 percent were connected with reforms in housing and communal services.
Vladimir Lukin also pointed out the increase in the number of citizens’ complaints referring to nationality issues as well as relations between ethnic and religious groups.
The Human Rights Ombudsman suggested to the President that this problem be discussed in the State Council.
