Roman Abramovich informed the President about the efforts to boost social and economic development and raise standards of living in the Chukotka Autonomous District. The head of state highly appreciated this work.
Mr Abramovich also asked the President’s permission to terminate his gubernatorial term.
After the meeting, Abramovich told journalists that he would continue to manage several economic projects aimed primarily at raising the standards of living in the region.
At present the President has not made a decision on Abramovich’s resignation request.
