Speaking at a business forum, Mr Putin said that Russia seeks to develop cooperation with the Arab countries and wants to engage in a dialogue of civilisations.
The President drew Saudi investors’ attention to the numerous opportunities the Russian market offers.
Sustainable economic growth, political stability and a solid legal foundation are all good conditions for long-term capital investment, Mr Putin said.
The President also said he was hopeful that the agreements signed during his visit to Saudi Arabia would give impetus to carrying out joint economic projects.
The Russian business community leaders participated in the meeting too.
Following his meeting with the business leaders, Mr Putin visited the King Abdul Aziz Museum, accompanied by the governor of Riyadh Province, Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, brother of the Saudi King.
Mr Putin and the Prince visited a photo exhibition, Russia: the Country and its People.
The King Abdul Aziz Historical Centre was founded in 1999 and includes the restored Murraba Royal Palace, the palace mosque, a public library and a number of other buildings.
Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz then hosted a breakfast in honour of Mr Putin.
