Following their talks, the President of Russia and the King of Jordan adopted a Joint Statement on further strengthening Russian-Jordanian friendship and cooperation.
The statement reads, in particular: Russia and Jordan will continue to cooperate with a view to strengthening international stability as well as the regime of non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery.
The parties intend to continue to closely coordinate their efforts to transform the Middle East into a region free of nuclear, chemical or biological weapons of mass destruction.
The statement expresses the parties’ readiness to increase cooperation to counteract modern threats and challenges. Russia and Jordan resolutely condemn all acts, methods and practices of terror, independently of where or by whom they are carried out, as criminal and inhuman. They consider that any attempt to justify terror for political, philosophical, ideological, racial, ethical or religious reasons is unfounded.
