The message reads, in particular:
“In 1957 the appearance of a new sovereign state, the Republic of Ghana, on the world’s political map was a historical event that marked the beginning of the end of colonialism in Africa.
Over the past 50 years your Republic has had noteworthy success in establishing its statehood and rightly acts as a leader on the African continent. Ghana’s active participation in peacekeeping operations, in strengthening stability, and in developing integration processes in Africa has earned your country well-deserved respect and authority.
We are satisfied with the traditionally friendly nature of our bilateral relations. Today your country is one of Russia’s reliable and time-tested partners. We are ready to continue developing our multilateral ties in the interests of the peoples of Russia and Ghana”.
