At the meeting, the discussion focused on urgent measures to help those affected by the disaster.
The meeting participants indicated that the laws protecting the interests of the victims of disasters were more efficient in Tatarstan as compared to the federal ones.
President Putin noted that not the local but the federal laws should be amended in this case. The Russian leader stressed that an improper federal law may be changed, but it should be applied throughout the country.
