Mr Putin and his interlocutors discussed the future of Russian-German trade and economic contacts, Russian economic reforms and improvements in the national business environment and investment climate.
The Acting President called Germany one of Russia’s leading partners and expressed confidence that German investors would support the economic reforms implemented by Russian leaders.
The meeting involved chief executive officers of leading German banks and companies, including Ruhrgas, Siemens, Ferrostahl, Daimler- Chrysler and Deutschebank.
Gazprom board chairman Rem Vyakhirev, Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov, Trade Minister Mikhail Fradkov and Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov also attended the meeting.
