Construction of the new unit at the electricity station will ensure reliable energy supplies for residents of Kyrgyzstan’s Chui Valley. The project costs a total of $20 million, $5 million of which the Russian Government has provided in the form of a technical loan. The new turbo-generator was built by Russian company Technopromexport.
Speaking at the turbine’s inauguration ceremony, Mr Putin said that this infrastructure project is an example of effective international cooperation.
