President Putin praised the results of his state visit to Germany and expressed hope that bilateral cooperation would have a positive effect on both countries’ economies.
The Russian President thanked the German Chancellor for his consistent efforts to strengthen bilateral partnership. The President said German public opinion did not always favour Russia, but that the Chancellor had managed to preserve all the achievements of previous years and to promote positive development.
Mr Schroeder emphasised the importance of Mr Putin’s visit for strengthening bilateral trade and economic ties.
The German Chancellor expressed hope that Russia would play an important role in establishing an international counter-terrorist coalition.
