Speaking at the meeting, Mr Putin stressed that the country must observe its commitments to defenders of the motherland in full, and pointed to significant contributions made by pubic and religious organisations and business circles.
The head of state promised to do everything in his power to support the Fund’s activities.
The Fund was set up in September 1999 to render support and financial aid to servicemen of the armed forces, secret services and law enforcement agencies, as well as to families whose near and dear ones died in the performance of military duty.
