Theodoros Terzopoulos of Greece, Tadashi Suzuki of Japan, Robert Wilson of the United States and Russia’s Yury Lyubimov—celebrated stage directors and cultural activists who advanced the idea of the 1st Moscow Theatre Olympics in the mid-1990s—took part in the meeting.
Prominent among the guests were Jacques Lasalle of France, Britain’s Declan Donnellan, and Russian directors and performers on the Moscow Theatre Olympics steering committee—Kirill Lavrov, Mark Zakharov, Valery Fokin, Vyacheslav Polunin and Anatoly Vasilyev.
