Mr Shoigu told Mr Putin that motor convoys delivering humanitarian cargoes (food, medicines, tents) had started moving towards Afghanistan.
The project had been undertaken on the President’s instructions and was supervised by a Russian humanitarian centre in Kabul.
Mr Shoigu informed the President about the measures to restore the Lower Pyandzh River crossing to expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
