The telegram said, in part:
“I would like to send my condolences to you and the friendly people of Iran over the earthquake in your country, which affected many and caused severe damage.”
The President ordered the Emergencies Ministry to immediately contact the Iranian authorities to provide assistance in dealing with the aftermath of the disaster.
