Vladimir Putin presented orders and medals to 44 citizens of Russia, including public figures in science and art, agricultural workers, soldiers, and priests. In addition, six Russians received honourary titles.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President noted that Russia's increasing economic power and dignity are helping the country's intellectual spheres to develop. In particular, fields such as literature and art are advancing.
Vladimir Putin emphasised that Russia is a land with a great deal of talent and in today's world there are few areas in which Russia's presence does not make itself felt.
